Verona, Stamperia Ducale di Domenico Crattoni, March 23, 1794. Broadside (41 x 30 cm), large woodcut headpiece, the Venetian lion; previously folded, very clean with uncut margins. The public proclamation decrees how ulcers of the tongue in cows have to be diagnosed and treated. The spread has to be prevented by using separate drinking vessels for the infected animals. The ulcerous areas, after having rinsed the mouth of the patient with diluted vinegar, must be treated four times within 24 hours with rosewater-infused honey with some astringents added. - A very well preserved and decorative proclamation.
