Add to basketLarge 8vo, pp. 385. Original tan boards, lettered in blue on spine. Some browning to text block. A fine copy in dustwrapper, with just a little wear to spine ends. Photographic frontispiece. First edition. Prudence Penny was the Home Economics Editor of the Los Angeles Examiner. In the 1950s Penny was discovered to be the pseudonym of Hyman Goldberg whose later, nationally-syndicated column, Our Man In The Kitchen, was the source for a book of the same name published in 1964. A fabulous copy -- and, between the pages covering recipes for whipped cream cake and butterscotch cookies, there's a perfectly preserved pressed flower.
