Twelve volumes plus handbook, mixed impressions. Small 8vo. Publisher's light blue cloth, gilt lettered to spines, early gift inscription to the front free endpaper of volume I, Enid Marx designed dust jackets with original printed wrap-around band to volume IV. Black and wite plates. Occasional mild tanning to the jacket spines with a little light edge wear, a very good set overall. The first eleven volumes of Proust's monumental work were translated by Moncrieff, the final volume was completed by Hudson after his colleague's death.
