Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Hardcover, in blue cloth with gilt. Tipped-in at the front is a small slip stating: Compliments of / The Board of General Managers / of the / Exhibit of the State of New York / at the / World's Columbian Exposition; and with a list of names (including Chauncey M. Depew, prominent NY politician and future US Senator). Fair condition only. ~3/4" loss at the head of the spine. The front hinge is shaken; the rear hinge is split. Staining at the top ~1" of the boards. Wear at the corner tips & spine. Gilt on the front board mostly bright; that on spine somewhat sun-dulled. Endpapers and page edges are age-toned. The top edges of the pages are a bit stiff, as if damp at one time. There is a bit of staining in the top edge margin of the last few pages; no other dampstaining or odor noted. Many B&W plates, including one of the "First Electrocution Chair". There is a color plate entitled "Map of the State of New York Showing Judicial Districts." . There is a large folded color map in a sleeve at the rear; this map is quite clean.
