Not Right Now: A Gentle Way to Quit Smoking, One Moment at a Time

Most quit-smoking guides start in the same place: decide to quit, throw out your cigarettes, grit your teeth, and trust your willpower. That's the trap, and the reason so many of us have failed, time after time.

This book flips the whole thing around. You don't declare that you're quitting. You're simply not smoking right now, this moment. Then the next one. The journey gets broken into pieces so small it never feels impossible: a minute, an hour, a day, a week. And one day you notice you haven't smoked in a long time.

The author smoked for more than thirty years and tried to quit countless times, with patches, gum and medication, always without lasting success. Then he tried something different. He has been smoke-free since 2021.
