Highly topical! This book encourages the reader to join a political party and engage in American political life. "Join a Party! In a general sense, however, the voter should join some one organization. He can hardly play a part in the political life of his city, state and country otherwise. [.] The citizen who affiliates with no party is merely an amateur--an outside observer; he has little to do with the management of his country." (pp. 81-82). The one hitch is that the book occasionally leans anti-immigrant and drums up the phantoms of 'Bolshevism' and 'Anarchism.' Slight musty odor. Some bowing to the boards and shelfwear. Blue cloth with gilt lettering, now darkened on the spine. Very Good binding. Seller Inventory # 290723
