LACKS title page, contains 80 plates complete, 20 line engraved plates, 12 tinted or plain lithograph plates and 48 fine chromolithograph or two tone colour printed plates (these all tissue guarded). Some general spotting, occasionally heavy as often with this work. The quality and colour of a number of the chromolithograph plates is extremely good particularly the flowers and plates of Pompeian frescos. The binding also makes this a handsome shelf piece.
