First edition, first printing. Signed Limited Edition. Publisher's original black rexine with titles in gilt to the upper board. Top edge gilt. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, just a little rubbing at the extremities. The contents, with minor toning to the page edges are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's marks. Scarce in this form. One of only 26 lettered copies, specially bound and signed by James Reeves. This example is letter 'T'. Consisting of two parts, part one comprises previously unpublished work in all but five poems; part two reprints 19 poems from earlier collections including 'The Natural Need' (originally published in 1936 by the Seizin Press, run by Robert Graves and Laura Riding).
