[12], 3-204pp. Without divisional title (leaf A1), as often. Contemporary gilt-tooled vellum, contrasting red morocco lettering-piece. Extremities rubbed, marked, and discoloured. Recent booklabels of Gulielmi O'Brien and Milltown Park Library to FEP, manuscript bibliographical note to recto of FFEP, ink-stamp of Milltown Park Library to title page, occasional early manuscript annotation, very occasional marginal loss, scattered spotting. An early edition (the first appeared in 1602) of Florentine agronomist and economist Bernado Davanzati's (1529-1606) treatise on the English reformation, compiled and translated from English Catholic priest and religious controversialist Nicolas Sander's (c. 1530-1581) De origine ac progressu schismatis anglicani (Cologne, 1585), supplemented with two of his main economic works, Notizia de Cambi and Lezione Delle Monete (on coinage and exchange rates respectively), and three orations, one for Cosimo I de' Medici and two other spronounced at the Accademia degli Alterati, and a last on agriculture (vines and wines, peaches, pomegranate trees etc.) Size: Quarto.
