[Movie memorabilia] Vintage original script for the Academy Award-winning 1978 film adapted from the best-selling novel by Agatha Christie, with Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot, and all-star cast including Jane Birkin, Lois Chiles, Bette Davis, Mia Farrow, Jon Finch, Olivia Hussey, George Kennedy, Angela Lansbury, David Niven and Maggie Smith. Octavo (28 x 22cm), pp.143, mimeograph, in textured red card wrappers with die-cut title window, bound internally with two clasps. Small number (21) written in ink to cover else no markings. Some expected wear from use, generally very good. Final draft screenplay, stated '20th September 1977 Fifth Draft' on title page. A lavish period-piece detective mystery from EMI Films, following the great success of Murder on the Orient Express (1974). Death on the Nile was another critical and commercial hit, winning both the BAFTA and Oscar for Best Costume. Peter Ustinov would reprise his big-screen role as the Belgian sleuth in Evil Under The Sun (1982) and Appointment With Death (1988). Seller Inventory # 71477
