Joints tender, binding bumped and chipped, some staining to final pages; otherwise very good, text block tight and generally clean. Vituperative attack on Roman Inquisition written by Italian ex-Catholic Girolamo Bartolomeo Piazza, who resided in England, converted to Anglicanism, and taught Italian and French at Cambridge. The book is dedicated to the British monarch George I. Text in English with French translation opposite.
