Some internal markings of the time in ink and pencil, sometimes annotating further jokes within the lines. A few illustrations and fold out music examples. The first volume, Songs, Humorous and Satirical is the 1829 reprint of the 1822 original; the further volumes are in their original editions, from 1823-1833. A fascinating early 19th century collection of humorous, satirical, sometimes political and occasionally bawdy songs and scenes, in early, likely contemporaneous binding.
