Good+ second edition. no dj as issued. pale blue boards which are stained and grubby , notably to rear board. spine is sunned and with tarnish points, but the gilt titling though a tad dulled is fully readable. ffeps are foxed. reverse of front board carries a very small bookdealer stamp. foxing to title pages and into text itself - not isolated, there is marked foxing to some pages. all pages present, including all coloured images of the chessboard and pieces. Half Calf. Condition: Good. xii, 337 pp. Brown half calf binding over cloth boards, with raised bands and gilt lettered spine. Slight marks to the binding and wear to the corners. Separation to the front hinge, otherwise binding firm. Some foxing internally and title page darkened.
