Undated, title page states 'second thousand' at head. 8vo (21.5 x 14cm). vii, 115 pp. Quarter cloth and publisher's printed boards, rather worn and bumped, loss to head and foot of backstrip, some staining to rear cover. Offsetting to endpapers, and gutter of front hinge partially cracked. Stamp of Sydney Acott & Co, Oxford, to title page. Minor foxing and creasing internally, otherwise clean. Front free endpaper signed 'Spooner / New College.' in pencil, in the hand of William Archibald Spooner (1844-1930), the cleric and academic of New College, Oxford, who lent his name to the spoonerism.
