One of a set of photographic postcards from the Nimrod expedition, by an unknown publisher. ?The first ascent of Mount Erebus on Ross Island was completed on 9 March 1908 by Edgeworth David, Mawson, Mackay, Adams and Marshall. Brocklehurst, also in the climbing party, was prevented by frostbite from attaining the summit. Starting from their hut at Cape Royds, the climb took four days, the descent took two days.?
