Uniformly bound in half calf and marbled boards, matching marbled edges and endpapers, spines have raised bands and gilt decoration and lettering, boards rubbed, some wear to edges, some gilt spine lettering of volume I of Roland Cashel has been rubbed off, occasional spotting within. Charles Lever (1806-1872), Irish novelist and raconteur, whose novels according to Trollope were just like his conversation.
