1901. Thirteenth Edition Revised. 588 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Pages before title page are missing. Heavy cracking at the hinges with exposed binding material. Some occasional moderate cracking to gutters throughout, binding is shaky. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Gilt lettering has become dull. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Book has a slight forward lean. Title in impressed into front cover. 5 1/2 X 8 inches. 588 pages with include 4 pages of index and 68 pages of scientific and technical works and exam questions. Copy has numerous black and white illustrations. Copy also has 4 folded pullouts. 1 pullout is torn along the fold. Illustrations are not affected. All pullouts are fully intact. Previous owners name, "E.W. Tawn" is written in black ink and pencil on half title page. Spine is slightly sunned and edges are slightly worn. Head, tail and corners are lightly bumped.
