25/92 COPIES (from an overall edition of 100), printed in black and red, frontispiece engraving by Dennis Curran, two further illustrations by John Holbrow, initials and end-pieces by Michael Caple, pp. [ii], 14, [iv], tall 8vo, original duck-egg green wrappers with title and decorative border printed in red, and author and portrait medallion printed in black, near fine. A pleasing edition, the playful illustrations animating the forthright sixteenth-century text.
