Original cloth with bevelled edges, original illustrated dust-wrappers, pictorial map endpapers printed in green on Nepalese paper; pp. xix, 125, highly illustrated; minor marking to wrappers; a few pages with very light spotting, a very good copy, with ownership inscription, dated Kathmandy, 1980 to front fly-leaf. Second edition, puplished as Bibliotheca Himalayica, series III, Volume II (first, 1976), this classic on the supject remained in print, later (1998) in Switzerland, and as late as in 2010 again in Nepal. This beautifully produced book deals with the urban settlements, fortification, Newari House, the Buddhist monastery, and the Hindu priest house. Seller Inventory # 2112019
