M. W. White and Sons. Merthyr Tydfil. 1859. 345pp. 50 plates and plans, many of these large folding ones, some hand-coloured. Bound in black half calf gilt, blue boards soiled and rubbed. Tail of spine area rubbed. Pages browned with occasional foxing. One folding plate dog-eared otherwise a sound copy. SCARCE. Mostly to do with coal mining and mine engineering of the period with a wonderful coloured plate of a Somersetshire Coalfield.
