First editions. In two volumes. xvii, 363; viii, 424 pp. Publisher's dark green/blue cloth with blind ruling to boards and gilt lettering and ruling to spines. Stain to board of first volume and heavier rubbing and marks to the same, with a little wear at centre of rear joint. 2nd volume in better condition with light rubbing and bumping. Second volume clean, first with a little spotting, owner's name and ink notes to prelims. Keynes here drew a distinction between savings and investment, arguing that where saving exceeded investment, recession would occur. The renowned John Hicks noted that the first appearance of the word liquidity was in this work. 8vo. Seller Inventory # 77061
