Type Study Leaflets

Two complete sets of the Monotype Corporation 'Type Study Leaflets' in their folders, mostly printed in black and red. 1. Early issue, ND, in a folder explaining 'This folder of directions together with its contents is now being offered at 6d. for the benefit of the St. Bride Printing Library Fund', comprising the complete set 'ALPHABETS', 'WHAT'S THAT TYPEFACE?' (2 copies) and 'A LEAFLET FOR STUDENTS OF TYPOGRAPHY', each 4pp. additional sheet with p3 of the LEAFLET printed to the recto. 2. Later issue (entirely redesigned and reset), ND, in a folder titled 'Student's type study leaflets', comprising the complete set '1 Letter Forms', '2 Proportions', '3 The Metal Type' and '4 Planning a Printed Job'. A useful, and (naturally) beautifully-designed ready-reference. The earlier set in particular is quite scarce. Near Fine (a couple of areas of light foxing and a light crease to the foot of the second set's folder).
