Circa 1880. Containing twelve leaves with over 200 individual die cuts pasted down and an additional six loose die cuts. 4to. [290 x 255 x 35 mm]. Bound in full red cloth, the front cover elaborately blocked in gilt, neatly rebacked, white moiré endleaves. (Slightly rubbed with some loss to the gilding). The odd light foxing otherwise a clean copy in very good condition. The die cuts were printed in Germany and sold by the Bim Bros. firm from London. Scenes featured include notable figures such as Queen Victoria, Edward VII and Queen Alexandra; maritime scenes including HMS Victory; pastoral, natural and circus scenes as well as couple of anthropomorphic scenes. Also included is an example of a die cut which has yet to be cut.
