Small, slim 12mo, contemporary half light tan polished calf, spines gilt with 2 contrasting morocco labels, marbled boards, edges and end papers. Spines very slty mottled, leather slty marked, end papers bit foxed. Series half title with ads on reverse present. A RARE imprint in a dainty, pleasing binding and the first edition, earliest issue thus. FURTHER NOTES : The half title recto bears 19 other titles published by Tauchnitz, in chronological order, ending with Pipistrello, first published in England in 1880.
