The following titles: Carte de la Partie du Detroit de Magella Carte Contenant les Routes et les Reconnaissances des Couvettes L Astrolabe et la Zelee dans les Regions Australes, Carte du Groupe des Iles Manga-Reva, Carte de L Ile Borneo, Carte de la Cote Sub-Quest Nouvelle Guinee The corvettes L'Astrolabe, commanded by Dumont d'Urville, and La Zélée, commanded by Charles Hector Jacquinot, left Toulon September 7, 1837 towards the coast of Antarctica, then drifted to Oceania while exploring the Marquesas Islands , Tahiti, Tonga, New Zealand or Tasmania. Dumont d'Urville then decided to re-route to the South Pole and first landed the Antarctic lands in January 1840.
