First edition, first printing. Complete in seven volumes. Original brown cloth with gilt titles to the spines and gilt facsimile signatures to the upper boards, in the Jack Gaughan illustrated dustwrappers. A near fine set, the bindings square and firm, the corners and spine tips slightly rubbed, the cloth otherwise bright and fresh. Volumes I, V, VI and VII have a little faint spotting to the closed text-block edge and volume V has a previous owner's inscription on the title page, the contents are otherwise clean throughout. Complete with the lightly edge-rubbed original dustwrappers which are slightly rubbed and faded at the spines. A collection of five novels and 19 short stories by the Hugo and Nebula Award winning author Poul Anderson. Each volume has a new introduction by the author. The collection 'The Night Face and Other Stories' is published here for the first time; 'The Horn of Time', 'The Long Way Home' and 'The Queen of Air and Darkness' are published here in hardback for the first time; and 'The Byworlder', 'Orbit Unlimited' and 'Two Worlds' are published in hardback in the US for the first time.
