CONTENTS include an unusually literary Introduction by the Author, quoting the Ancients as well as more modern authors, on the emotional impact of arrival to this great city, arguing the case for a travel guide to unwind the overwhelming detail of how to navigate its many cultural riches. Hence, chapters are divided into various day-trip walks to the museums, galleries and historic sites, as well as an index reference to each of the two volumes of famous Romans mentioned in the text. A 2-page map of the historic center of Rome appears at the start of each volume. **English travel book innovator AUTHOR Augustus J.C.
