Blind dentelle to turn-ins. With nonpareil marbled endpapers. All edges red. Foxing to first and last few leaves, light toning to the rest. Somewhat dusty to top edge. Some rubbing and toning to leather binding, especially joints. Sunning to the inner edge of upper board. Very good. Kingsley's works, including 'Westward Ho!,' feature characters that embody a trait which he called 'Christian manliness,' rough brutishness paired with moral purity.
