Hand coloured plate taken from the work Les Artistes by Gavarni. It shows an artist and his muse sharing some champagne. Under the image it reads: La Madelaine c'etait une femme qu'avait fait des betises n'est pas m'sieu Henry ? A Mort ! Page has a small water stain on the bottom left and adhesive residue mark to the outer top edge. Otherwise very good - and scarce - work. It would be perfect for framing. 340 x 260 mm (13½ x 10¼ inches). . Seller Inventory # 3069
