Original drawing (42 x 30 cm), china ink on fabbriano paper. This is drawing is the base of a 1.5 m high ceramic tiles totem titled Dead Easy, which is now part of the Padova City Musei Civici Collection of art and in permanent view at Centro Culturale San Gaetano, Padova, Italy. This drawing also became a vertical carpet climbing the wall at the exhibition "Switch Supposing" with Maya Sambonet and Marta Angelozzi @ AREA10 Project Space in Peckham, London, in 2008. It was at Area10 Project Space, that the drawings of 'Dead Easy' and 'Switch Supposing' first became tile-carpets in Contained (2008), a floor tiles installation composed of prayer rugs embedded into the pavement. Contained explored the immanent/inherent reordering that exists between inner experience and outer occurrence. Their nuanced discrepancy finds a provisional and evolving coherence in the interaction between writing and drawing onto a walk-a-way passage. When walked over one sees that these cosmographical designs are made of finely woven emotional and poetic expressions that interlace together like a sketch, forming a prayer for the small challenges of everyday life.
