Michael M. Rothkopf

Dr. Michael Rothkopf is a recognized leader in the field of Metabolic Medicine. He has over 30 years of clinical experience and an international reputation as an authority in critical care nutrition, enteral and parenteral nutrition, obesity management and bariatric surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition, the American College of Physicians and the Obesity Society. He is a Director and Former President of the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists. He was a Director and Former Chairman of the 52nd and 53rd Annual Meetings of the American College of Nutrition.

Dr. Rothkopf graduated from Syracuse University, the Newhouse School of Public Communication and the Eastern Virginia Medical School. He performed metabolic research at the Jones Center for Reproductive Medicine, UMDNJ (now Rutgers)/NJ Medical School, East Orange VA Medical Center and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He has studied under the tutelage of Drs. Norman Ertel, Gerald Salen, John Kinney and Eric Newsholme, among others.

Dr. Rothkopf has been a Metabolic Consultant at numerous hospitals. He is the author of 2 prior textbooks and over 100 scientific publications. He is currently Director of Metabolic Medicine at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.
