Onda Johnson

Dr. Johnson has spent over 20 years in k-12 education, an administrator for a state department of education she is a specialist in the development of educational programs. An advocate for the educational rights of students with severe educational challenges, Dr. Johnson has influenced legislation and policy to address the disparate educational outcomes of African American students. Her research in social justice in education examines the development of an intellectual identity of African American males in early education and the experiences of single African American mothers in navigating educational spaces on behalf of their sons.
