Schlichtes modernes Halbleinen mit handschriftlichem Rückenschild. Papier bisweilen stockig, davon sind auch die Lithographien betroffen. Die Tafeln oft mit hinterlegten Einrissen, teilweise mit TESA. Zwei fehlende Blätter der Vorrede zu Teil 2 in Kopie einliegend. Ausgeschiedene Bibliotheksduplette aus der Bücherei des Eifelvereins mit entsprechenden Stempeln, ordnungsgemäß entwidmet. Neyen, Biographie Luxemb. App. S. 11f. Blum, Bibliographie Luxemb. I, S. 94. Michel Bormann (1795-1860) besuchte von 1808-14 in Luxemburg die Zentralschule, trat dann in Trier ins Priesterseminar ein. Später Bormann war er Pfarrer und königlicher Schulinspektor Preussens in Daleiden (Eifel). Nicht unumstrittene Schrift zur Frühgeschichte der Eifel, die insbesondere dem Raum Nordeifel (Daleiden, D), Nordluxemburg und St. Vith (B) gewidmet ist. Die Tafeln behandeln archäologische Funde. Die "Karte über die aufgefundenen römisch. Ruinen in der Gegend von Ettelbrök [sic!] bis Mahnerfeld" (ca. 34 x 49 cm) zeigt die Ardennen zwischen Weiswampach, Manderfeld, Rommersheim, Bitburg und Erpeldingen. 1846 erschien in Prüm die "Nachlese zu dem ersten Theile meiner Beiträge zur Ardennen-Geschichte", die hier nicht vorhanden ist.
