Hardcover. Very early ed. NEAR FINE 12' panoramic view of London from the Western Stone Wharf to the Belfast, Cork, Leith and Glasgow Wharf. 17X13(cm). Reenforced inner spine. "Engraved by Henry Vizetelly" at bottom of 24th panel. This 12' panorama precedes the later 18' version. Hungerford bridge shown as under construction. There are no chips or fold lines. About half the fold lines with 1/2" closed tears, a couple at 1" and two are torn about half way down. These last two have been reenforced with Japanese tissue paper. Possibly some mild aging but no foxing, soiling or any other stain. Upper cover with gilt lettered title surrounded by elaborate gilt floral & geometric design with "1/6" price stamped just below. All this surrounded by rules & floral corner designs in blind. The upper cover design & the 12' length establish this as the first printing in booklet form. Only preceded by the 1844 "Pictorial Times" printing. Lower cover with same design but blind stamped, no gilt. Enclosed in modern custom made slipcase. NEAR FINE booklet enclosing a 12' long folding Thames panorama.
