Hard Cover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Blue boards with gilt titles to the spine. Front board has a damp stain to the lower edge. Pages have a bit of foxing. Text block edge has some toning and foxing to the fore edge. The jacket is not price clipped and has age toning and a small piece missing at the top of the spine. The jacket is now in a removable protective cover. Professional seller. All pictures are of the actual book that is for sale. Books are dispatched in cardboard packaging.

In a very good wrapper with some light light loss to the spine tips and corners and repair to head of spine. John Minton designed dust wrapper.

A first edition, first printing of 'Scamp' published by John Lehmann in 1950. A very good (or better) book with one neat name to the front endpaper. Light toning to the page block. In a very good unclipped wrapper with light edge chipping and one thin chip to the head of the spine. Two small pink stains to the bottom of the rear panel. Roland Camberton (1921-1965) was a British writer whose real name was Henry Cohen, though his family also knew him as Harry. He won the 1951 Somerset Maugham Award, given to authors under the age of 35, for this novel. Exceptionally rare.
