Th binding is a little rubbed and bumped, there is light foxing to the preliminary pages, the endpapers are tanned, and there is a short ownership inscription. Overall, this book is in good plus condition.

Small 4to, i-xii, 296 pp, black and white frontispiece, 39 black and white photographic plates from photographs by the author, original green decorated cloth, tear to the top left hand corner of the page giving the list of illustrations, previous owner's neat signature on the reverse of the front free end paper but a very good bright copy. This first edition of 1927 is a far superior production to the small 8vo 1939 printing.

The war-time activities of Captain Knight's world-famous golden eagle, named Mr Ramshaw, which was taken as youngster from a nest in the Scottish highlands.
