Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Rebound in brown leather covers with raised bands on spine. Gold lettering and bands on spine are bright. Covers exhibit very light soiling and shelf wear. Hinges are tight. Heavy foxing and yellowing starting with the ffep's and going to the end of the preface. Heavy foxing to bfep's. Text is yellowed with occasional foxing and soiling. Page 270 has scribbling in pencil around the edges of the full page b&w illustration. The rest of the text and the many illustrations are unmarked. The full page maps in the back of the book exhibit light foxing along with the yellowing due to age.
