Der Einband etwas verschmutzt und fleckig, der Originalschutzumschlag hat deutliche Gebrauchsspuren. Die Seiten sind bis auf Kleinigkeiten sauber und gut. Mit 20 farbigen und 176 s/w Tafeln. Unter den großen Vertretern der gotischen Malerei in Böhmen, deren Meisterwerke die Höhe des zeitgenössischen europäischen Kunstschaffens erreichten, nimmt Theodorik eine Sonderstellung ein. Theodorik, der Hofmaler Karls IV., war ein hochbegabter Künstler, hervorragend nicht nur durch seine Stellung, sondern auch durch seine Aufgabe - die Ausschmückung der Burgkapelle von Karlstein, der Lieblingsburg des Herrschers und des Schreines der Reichskleinodien.
