Sa premičre exposition personnelle importante se tient chez Colette Allendy en 1952, puis il entre chez Paul Facchetti, oů il fait la connaissance de Julien Alvard, Jean Fautrier et Jean Paulhan. Peintre depuis l âge de 14 ans, Laubičs ne peint jamais ŕ Paris oů il ne séjourne gučre que quelques mois par an. Chaque hiver, c est en Asie, principalement en Inde, qu il s isole pour retrouver le climat spirituel qui lui convient pour peindre.
