A little foxing to back cover. Last page states that 'Arrangements have been made by the Eragny Press for publications to be stocked in America'. The Eragny roundel at top of page. Articles on the American Bookplate Society and the new Cleveland bindery.4 illustrations at back and several in the text. Harry Fowler was enomoured by the Arts and Crafts Movement and became an ardent collector of private press books.He published the magazine the 'Ex Libran'. He collected Eragny vellum copies and had close connections with the Pissarro's visiting them in 1912. Fowler borrowed their electrotypes of book plates to use. In January 1913 he proposed selling left over Eragny stock in America planning to advertise the books in his new magazine,The Biblio. This copy with printed 'Specimen' in purple on the front cover.This example possibly from Fowler's own archive? A very rare surviving connection with the Eragny Press in it's last year. 8 inches by 5.5 inches. 44 pages, 150g.
