(Sidney) Crapsey (1847-1927) was an American Episcopal clergyman who was charged with heresy and found guilty and subsequently defrocked in 1906 for "openly, advisedly, publicly and privately utter, avow, declare, and teach doctrines contrary to those held and received by the church"; H. (Harry) Snell (1865-1944) was a British politician, socialist, and member of the National Secular Society who served in government under Ramsay MacDonald and Winston Churchill, and as the Labour Party's leader in the House of Lords in the late 1930s; Henry Neumann (1882-1966) became leader of the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture in 1911 and was one of the editors of The Standard (later The Ethical Outlook); John H. (Herman) Randall Jr. (1899-1980) was an American philosopher and member of the Department of Philosophy at Columbia University.
