Bound in contemporary full calf with five raised bands to the spine and a gilt embossed burgundy title block to the spine. Both boards remain firmly attached. Not an ex-library copy. This copy belonged in the library of David Buchanan Smith - the former sheriff of Kilmarnock and his neat printed modern bookplate is pasted to the front paste down. Several page corners have been turned. Several board corners bumped and rubbed and now a little rounded. Nevertheless a very good, clean, tight well preserved copy. This book has been treated by a conservative leather dressing as all virtually all our leather books are.
