Inside story of the famous British Formula One team by it's founding father, Raymond Mays (himself a successful racing driver in the 20s,30s and 40s) The Initial car powered by a fiendishly complex supercharged 16 cylinder engine was enormously controversial and never performed to it's potential in top level events, almost sank the team but it was rescued by the wealthy Owen family who's industrial complex supported the following (more successful) designs culminating in the 1962 V8 powered car which won the world championship in the hands of Graham Hill - which is the point at which this book was published. 240 pages plus many black and white photographs.Paperback in very good condition but the glue in the bindings on these paperbacks tend to dry out and pages can and do come loose when the book is opened.
