Paperback. First American edition: unpaginated, perhaps eighty pages, verso Italian faces recto English, nicely designed by John McBride of (later on) Berkeley bookshoperie. Softbound in 7x5.5 inch plain printed bluish-grey wraps, mildly edgeworn with turned corner-tips, sunning to margins (spine lettering unaffected), consigner's penciled code on front free endpaper else free of any marking, tiny foodstain to one line, this is a good to very good copy. Scotellaro died in 1953 (heart attack at age 30) and had been a Socialist mayor in Italy, ousted with imprisonment on false charges of corruption (he had resisted the Change this text in Preferences, "items" tab.re-Facistification of postwar Italy). Our own Californian, Jack Hirschman, incited this translation & publication.
