The work depicts hermits, saints with one of five parts devoted to female believers; this anthology is rarely offered. Seltenes Exemplar in gutem Zustand. -- Original copperplate engraving with the following dimensions: 14 x 19.7 cm plate, sheet: 14.5 x 20.3 cm. Loosely mounted under a passe-partout using short strips of paper. Several old notes and signatures on the back: 'R S' at the bottom left, the number '63' at the top, an unclear signature at the bottom right (all in pencil), a very faded three-line note in ink in the middle (please see our photos).
