Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. "A Hobbit's Adventure" from 1962, illustrated by Tove Jansson. A classic story for collectors and readers. In original Swedish Used (fine) condition, minor stain on page 55 and page 56. Fairly good condition otherwise. Fresh pink colors and a little faded but otherwise very good condition.

Minimal now dry moisture damage on a few pages (looks very slightly dented but has no damage. Has about 2 minor stains inside and some minor creases on a few pages Not written in single wear in the corners as usal.

Other than that, the condition is absolutely superb. Strong colors on the covers with tight binding completely fresh inside. Nothing written no stains. A little wear in the corners (back corner a pressure damage but all the material in the corners remains in all of them which is rare. Brilliant condition:) First edition illustrated by Tove Jansson and second swedish edition of the hobbit.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Text in swedish. Second edition in swedish ever. The protective cover is missing its flaps and has previous marks from tape on the inside. The book has had some regluing in the back and a piece of one page on the front cover has some regluing. Has some marks from previous tape on the inside of the front board on the last page and the inside of the back board, i.e. the last page. Very indistinct stamping on title page and last page of library mostly gone. Also a stamp from the previous ex-libris stamp that was on.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. First edition with Tove Jansson illustrations. The condition is absolutely excellent. Has some slight tanning on top of front. On of the corners has been reglued back this is only a very small part though and all the corners are pointy which is incredibly scarce. Has some minor loss of the pink color in a few small places which can be seen on boards. All the pages are in great condition. Superb condition.

FIRST JANSSON EDITION, 10 full-page drawings with numerous smaller drawings throughout text, pp. 308, 8vo, original quarter green cloth with colour-printed Jansson illustration to upper board, backstrip lettered in gilt with very slight lean to spine, some trivial wear at board-corners and gentle fading to border of lower board, a couple of little spots to top edge, bookplate and ownership inscription of Bengdt Sandin to front pastedown, very good. An attractive edition. Given the importance of the Nordic influence on Tolkien's work, there is something reciprocal about the foremost illustrator of the region turning her hand to one of his most enduring works - and the results are delightful.
