Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. A Bruce Cornwell (illustrator). 1st Edition. Good condition hardback red boards showing title etc clearly on front board and on spine. Front boards are water stained a little, which has faded the colour slightly, no DJ. 119 pages good and clean with clear bold print. No foxing, no previous names. Fly sheet torn out. Frontispiece: black and white illustration of 'The boat capsized after rearing backwards on its stern'. More illustrations on other pages.

Tas and his friend Bluey take a chance and slip inside the new red postal rocket all set for its first flight round the world to delivery mail. The rocket takes off, they don't know how to control it, and the don't know how they'll get back. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Its full color frontispiece is bright and unworn, but has come loose from its spine binding so is tipped in. This book is in very good condition for its age, marred only by light bumps on its covers' corners and spine ends, a trace of sunfade along its covers' top edges, some faint soiling on the top edge of its page block (not extending onto page faces), and slight spine lean. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are otherwise unworn and unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is whole and in good condition, marred only by slight fading to its colorful front and spine, small chips in the base of its spine, light soiling on its white back and along its back flap fold, and some toning along its top edge and folds. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

On its front endpaper is a hand-written price in red ink ("8 P"), and a gift inscription written in blue ink with a lovely script, "To Stewart / Christmas 1958, With Love from David and Valerie.". This 70 year old book is in very good condition for its age, mared only by spine lean, light wear on its covers' spine ends, light bumps on its covers' corners, some soiling and foxing on edges of its page block (which does not extend onto page faces), plus a few faint stains on edges of the page block (which do extend slightly into page margins.) Its binding is sound. Covers and pages are otherwise unmarked and unworn. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is whole and in good condition, marred by foxing, a faded spine, wear and tiny chipping on the ends of its spine and flap folds, and toning along its folds and top edge.I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
