"Baie d'Alger" au centre, "ville d'Alger et plan particulier du port et du môle" dans un encadré dans l'angle supérieur droit", "Vue des batteries et constructions élevées sur le môle" dans la partie inférieure. Atelier de A. Desmadryl - Imprimé par Engelmann. Sur la partie toilée, étiquette de titre gravée "Landriveau-Goujon, géographe-éditeur, rue du Bac, n°6 à Paris. Jean-André Dezauche est le fils de Jean-Claude Dezauche (1745-1829), éditeur et marchand de cartes géographiques. Jean-André hérita en 1824 de la charge de son père concernant la vente des cartes de la Marine. Adolphe Desmadryl, dessinateur au Dépôt de la Guerre, travailla avec Engelmann jusqu`à l'obtention de son brevet en 1829 d'imprimeur-lithographe. Il fut un des premiers en France à appliquer les procédés de la lithographie aux cartes topographiques. Sont mis en exergue les différents forts : Fort du cap Matifou, Fort de l'Empereur, Fort Barbason, Fort de l'étoile, Nouveau fort, Fort des Anglais, ainsi que l'emplacement des batteries. Pour mémoire, les troupes françaises firent le siège du Fort de l'Empereur et prirent Alger en juillet 1830. Plan en très bon état. Rare.
