Insall and with a foreword by Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir John M. Salmond the book recalls the exploits of the Begian Flying Ace who specialised in destroying enemy observation balloons on the Western Front during the Great War. This brought him international fame, the British D.S.O. and M.C. as well as Belgian and French decorations. This edition in English was first published by John Hamilton in 1934. The copy offered by us is the Aviation Flying Club printing, undated, but probably of the same or following year. VG/VG (Book- Shelf wear to bottom edges. Mild foxing to fore edge of book block.
