Er schildert 36 Fallstudien von Harnröhren- u. Blasenpolypen. - Nicod, 1788-1847, stammte aus einer alten Medizinerfamilie, wurde 1807 promoviert u. war u.a. Leibchirurg von Louis XVIII. u. Chirurg am Hôpital Beaujon. Er hat mehrere Arbeiten über Harnwegs- u. Blasenkrankheiten publiziert, darunter 1827 ein *Memoire sur les polypes.*, das zu Beginn identisch mit vorliegendem Werk ist, auf 48 S. insgesamt aber nur 6 Fallstudien beschreibt. - Provenienz: Spiegel mit gest.
